Many thanks for your long and considered reply. Very much appreciated. I am rather busy this week and have only just checked in here, but I did notice there has been no return of our accumulator yet. Possibly tomorrow, following tonight's UK market?

The prospect of further sanctions on expatriate Russians and Russian businesses, banks, etc. is enough to give anyone pause though.

Of the two major shareholders, Waterford Group appears to be a London-based Russian-financed private investment company, whilst Soyuzneftegaz is a Russian oil and gas company. I have no idea how sanctions may affect either them or JPR's prospects for financing further development on the project, or what the further developments and eventual outcome in the Ukraine may be.

I am sure the two major shareholders could very easily finance the topside development and additional development wells themselves, but they will not be in it to assume all the risk whilst giving the ASX and London listed shareholders a free ride. Which leaves me wondering whether they might wish to take the company private, if they can 'cut a deal' with the mysterious party that quietly is accumulating at 40c.

I shall look at this again more detail when I get a moment.

(I too was a long term shareholder, but have stepped back temporarily, to invest in other things, pending resolution of the topside finance issues, upon which the oil export license is contingent)
