As a male, and seeing the extreme trouble my daughter had in her divorce proceedings, and assuming that these events all occurred within the last ten years or so, I find these stories very difficult to believe. If they occurred before that time then they would be credible. But if they occurred after that period, when the divorce laws were changed, they would lose all credibility. A sure indicator is the loud voices emanating from Women's groups, demanding they be changed on the incredulous basis that they are unfair to women!
And some men I have known, for the sake of peace, just give in too easily. A sure path to financial obscurity.
However, one thing that has NOT changed is the importance of engaging a good and competent lawyer, which is easier said than done.
