I don't remember saying that using gas for energy was necessarily bad, just the means of getting it which involves injecting toxic chemicals into the groundwater. This risks waterways and farmland, which will be a much more valuable commodity than gas in years to come, with the rising population and increase in buying power of Asia (and consequent demand for quality imported food). The government's promotion of increasingly obsolete fossil fuels (especially coal) for a quick buck is being penny-wise and pound-foolish. And the Bentley Blockade is just a sign that increasing numbers of people are waking up to the harm caused when corporations plough in with no regard for the potential long-term damage to the environment.
