According to the PNAS link in the Patry's announcement 2nd of April the plant is actually N. benthamiana.
SM6 glycoforms are equally well expressed in N. benthamiana leaves and can be purified by protein A
Nicotiana benthamiana is a close relative of tobacco and is indigenous to Australia. The plant is found among rocks on hills and cliffs throughout the northern regions of Australia. I guess that makes it basically a weed and it is an easy to grow plant system.
Purification using protien A is also not an issue as the technology has been proven and the purifiers are already marketed.
There are already has glass houses which grow Nicotiana Benthamiana successfully. Which means going into production is not a major issue it's just a matter of finding a supplier to grow the plants inoculate the leaves, harvest the crop and purify it.

"Why Plants? For efficient, scalable protein production
Plants are one of the world’s most cost-effective protein producers. There are thousands of proteins produced for commercial applications, from enzymes for industrial processes to therapeutic antibodies that generate billions of dollars in revenue. Traditionally, proteins have been produced using complex production systems such as cell culture, yeast, bacteria or eggs. However, the ability to produce proteins in plants has several major advantages. Plants are uniquely capable of efficient protein expression of different complexity levels and glycosylation patterns at high yields and low costs. Greenhouse-based manufacturing facilities conditions can be quickly built for rapid and economic scale-up in order to meet market demands. "
"immunotherapy of choice in the near future" might not be a pipe dream.
