Would be interesting to know if M&G could withstand the sheer forces in such an application. Does anyone have Joe's email and want to ask if the magnetic hyperthermia application is possible?
If anyone was curious, other options of using M&G to cure cancer would be through using activated nanoparticles as "magnetic carriers" or "drug carriers". Attachment of molecules to gold nanoparticles is also a current hot area of research for cancer treatment.

Peter - check the above link. Another option is labelling the nanoparticle with antibodies that bind very strongly to cancer cells and nothing else.
