This is very clever tech, and a non-toxic M&G formulation to bind the antibodies could see ADO involved.

There are plenty of antibody directed therapies aiming to target the tumour better without side-effects, these include engineered antibodies, antibody bound drugs and antibody bound radioisotopes. The issue is that the cancer keeps changing (in any one patient there are many 'strains' of the same cancer and they all keep evolving and changing) hence not all cancer cells would necessarily express the target for the bound antibody.

Also what happens to the nano particles once the cells apoptose (kill themselves) will they be safely excreted, and how specific is their targeting, macrophages and dendritic cells (both part of the immune system) would probably internalise some particles too and might end up damaged.

Lots of hurdles to jump, as I see it the major stumbling blocks to this becoming a human therapy lie outside the nanoparticle antibody binding step - but interesting none-the-less.
