    Not sure what you expect from BHP.

    Considering Hurricane Katrina and a few other variables, its not a bad report.

    OK, we all know that there are Labour shortages and it costs more for production. RIO also are facing exactly the same shortages.

    Sydney - Tuesday - January 24: (RWE Australian Business News) -
    BHP Billiton Ltd (ASX code: BHP) today released its production report
    for the quarter ended December 31 2005.
    The company achieved record half-year production of aluminium,
    copper, nickel and LNG, supported by strong market conditions.
    Half-year production of copper was up 24 per cent and nickel 137
    per cent following the acquisition of WMC in June 2005.
    Escondida in Chile achieved a third consecutive quarter of
    record copper production.
    Production increased at Western Australian Iron Ore following
    weather and derailment interruptions last quarter.
    Total petroleum production was up 3 per cent for the half-year.
    Shares in BHP Billiton fell 19c to $24.47 yesterday.
