Thanks easysell. I do expect to see something here some time before product launch. P&G and Coty will have product packaging and ad campaigns all lined up before launch, so naturally they will have already applied for trademark registration.

I seem to be mostly talking to myself here... I'd love to hear from others on whether you agree with this or think a product is just going to be announced without this happening.
