Delays = Govt Authorities
There is no incentive for speed on the govts end.
Such is life i suppose. I remember my days getting DAs through local govt. The only time it went quick or smooth was when the development directly/indirectly benefited council.

I can't imagine the hoops that you have to jump through to get a new medical treatment approved.

Also I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be approved either. There is no disadvantage of using the synthetic product over the incumbent collagen one (according to the studies or anything i can google or search for in journals).
