Peer review in science is vital. To quote the site below: there is no such thing as non-peer-reviewed science.

Well, you are putting us in good company with ten of thousands of scientists who have had their work put through the rigours of a peer review process.
And if you think that teaching our kids science that that has survived such rigorous scrutiny to be wrong while being happy to teach them about some dude who is trying to trick them into landing up in hell, then it is clearly you who has the issues.
