Lets all be realistic. There will be two to three years of discomfort for taxpayers and families, then there will be tax cuts.
Families previously getting thousands in welfare, will become net taxpayers, and with future tax cuts will be as well off as they were before this budget.
Adult children will get a well deserved kick up the arse. Learn or earn rather than lie around in bed like a sack of shit and consider a career in welfare. Perhaps kids at school will start to get the message that they are at school for a reason.
This budget along with the COA has been a wake up call for Australians.
A leopard doesn't change its spots: Chris Bowen seems very comfortable with taxing the rich with a debt tax. Greens like the fuel excise; that should see a few clunkers and V8s scrapped. Regarding the fuel excise, I bet there are a lot of drivers wishing they hadn't bought a taxpayer subsidized, gas guzzling Holden or Ford.
