Things have to change, the requirements for school leavers and the chronic unemployed to change their attitude is necessary.

Generational change if you like...I left school at 15 and went straight to work. I looked forward to getting a job and going to work in fact. Gap year? What the hell is that!

Kid's and parents alike these days need to realise that they can't just leave school after their Schoolie's p*ss up and go surfing for a year. If they want to do that let their parents pay for them, not the taxpayer.

Again the mentality of the masses seems to be that the Government, ie taxpayer will pay for everything...that mentality just has to change or the welfare list will just get longer as will the expectation for Government support to support "life style".

It will be tough for some, but as the saying goes, "when the going gets tough, the tough get going!"

As always there will be safety nets, if a person is destitute, they can go into a Centrelink office, plead their case and can even receive a cash payment on the spot.
