Hello Capt kirk. Welcome for posting. The type of trading for CFD's can vary. It tends to favour shorter term trading. You need to consider holding costs. Indices seem to have lower costs. Short actually pay you interest, very small. You also need to be aware of div payments. If short you may have to pay the div!!!! If long than you get credited the div when it goes ex div.
Some big players went ex today/ CBA NAB MQG I think. This does drive the ASX down.
As you are a TA trader I do look forward to seeing some charts. I love a good chart. If you have seen my posts I do not go for "fancy" charts. Some seem to get carried away with indicators and lines. The picture tells the story. Good to have you on board captain! mower
