Does one sense an underlying lack of conviction behind an otherwise quite well written post that you STILL resort to misrepresentation of fact.

Slewing the argument as you have, either by deliberate lie, or gross ignorance is shabby and may invite some to discount your concerns.

Justify for us 'huge'' if you will as in the amount of materials used in freeing up the resource if necessary, AND 'toxic' as in their nature...according to you. (References would be good)

After some years of pumping water for irrigation and human consumption from the Gascoyne River (WA) sometimes the fines drawn in to the gravel packing around the bore casing would impede water flow, and so water and compressed air would be forced down the hole to disperse the fines.

Additionally and safely small, very small amounts of regular household grade detergents were included, particularly to deal with algal prescence, silica compounds etc, in a not disimilar fashion to gas extraction techniques employed around the world (including OUR country) without negative incident or impact....for more than half a century.

I understand your fear of the unknown, unknown to you perhaps, but do try and educate yourself sufficiently of the operations of Metgasco before you again post with authority on a thread related to that Company .
