Big L, i think you are living in a different world, journos quite often will publish (with there editors approval)things that start controversy and debate, its quite often not the truth, i have a relative working in the industry and has done for many years, and once was told to put his name to things to be in papers,he refused and was "DEMOTED" to a very low position in the organisation. He has mentioned many times some of the things published were only to get people to buy the paper, and later having to publish a apology, but by then heaps of sales were done so exercise done.If you think journos adhere to your supplied ethics, then you are sadly mistaken and delusional. Some do but i would estimate probably 40 to 50% make up ethics as they see suits the occasion, and are told what to say.
