You choose not to have a relationship with God. No ones said love conditional or not is dependant on God. Alot of people have problems in their lives that create problems with loving and being loved. Alcohol, drug abuse, gambling , broken marriages, financial problems violence etc etc..... That is what God is for providing a moral path, frame work that prevents those types of problem. I presume the people who have no need for God are physically and mentally strong and in a favourable environment, many arent so lucky.
