As I have previously posted, having the three NEW technologies online is what is going to be the game changer from this point forward for the company imo. All eyes were on validation of the company's new Endosomal Escape Technology first. Janssen didn't go to plan, ok, we move on. Now that the EET technology is validated we await validation of the Macrocyclic Technology and the Synthetic Phylomer Libraries.
As highlighted in many reviews, Pharma is VERY interested in cyclic molecules, which can have greater stability than non-cyclic versions. One just has to look at some of the deals that have taken place in this space over the past few years.
Once ALL three technologies are validated, the opportunities that will open up for Phylogica to hit intracellular targets by combining all technologies will allow the company to match anyone on their core selling point, only much more powerfully imo.
I believe the new technological advances that Phylogica have invested in heavily over the past few years and that are expected to come on-line over the coming months will play a major role in current and prospective partnerships.
Note: estimated validation date for Macrocyclic Technology is Q2 FY2014.
One more thing, do you think upfront fees re collaborations are going to be small once these three technologies are all validated? I don't think so.
Hopefully, not too long to find out what exactly Phylogica's plans are in this exciting EET, Macrocyclic and Synthetic Biology space.
