The decision by Deutsche Bank NOT to fund expansion of the Abbot Point terminal sets the benchmark response for other global banks - would any of them risk being funding the expansion given the precedent set by Deutsche Bank?
Indeed, we may be seeing the start of a capital investment blockade against a nation now viewed as an environmental pariah state. Tony Abbott's environmental vandalism has become news overseas:
