THISISJAMO. I don't know about others but on my screen your post has been truncated. It should read

    "Haven't been following lately...
How much are the problems in Thailand discounting the stock, or will it have little impact??

    Cheers"

I've thought about that too but it is not as if the army has taken over permanently - only until the turmoil has settled down and fresh elections can be held.

I'm no expert on Thai politics so I referred to Wikipedia

" Anti-government protests have been ongoing in Thailand since November 2013, aimed at removing the influence of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra from Thai politics.[8]

The protests were triggered by a proposed amnesty bill that would have pardoned participants in various unrest incidents in Thailand since 2004, including Thaksin Shinawatra.[9] Although opposition from both the Democrat Party and the pro-government Red Shirt caused the bill to be rejected unanimously by the senate,[10] protests led by former Democrat MP Suthep continued and aimed to totally dislodge the government and the Shinawatra family from power. The struggle is urban vs. rural, as Thailand with 65 million residents, has a majority living outside of urban Bangkok."
