I saw that particular article.
the premise was that Israels' demographics in the next 25 years would see the Jewish pop in the area actually exceeding that of the Palestinians due to inflated actual #'s and birth rates as reported falsely by the PA.
The pt of course was the disengagement was brought about because of the fears these demographic models instilled in the decision makers and that it would be better to disengage and cede them the land and state NOW because demographically they would be in a position of majority.
However that premise appears to be wrong
Having said that...the intractable nature of this issue is I think only even REMOTELY feasable if there is an existing Pale stinian state
Then...provided there is a partner in their govt pursuing peace.... then the reality of peace is achievable
Without concessions to allow for a state I think realistically and pragmtically there would have been no chance of peace
Unfortunately, Hamas hasnt shown its willinness to be that partner
where this now leads is real mystery.
