He said shareholders should be comforted in the fact that the company is obligated to report to the market immediately if anything arises of a significant nature, and this is not necessary.

as if they would say, yeah things are real crook and that asteroid looks like wiping us out, metaphorically speaking of course, not really an asteroid. I.E. Don't take everything you read literally.
