with the stock suspended at 5 year lows (or whatever it actually is) those short have no problems. Further to that, a rights issue cannot be selective, you either have the right as a holder or do not because you are not a holder.
The dilution here is going to be massive good oil. Lets say even a 20% dilution (it could be 30%), the stock comes on below $2 and the shorters may look to cover then, but I doubt whether they are losing sleep. As i said, i cannot think of an instance where a extended suspension has been positive.
