DAVOS: Glaxo To Make 15 Million Relenza Doses In 06 - Executive
DAVOS -(Dow Jones)- U.K. drugmaker GlaxoSmithKline PLC (GSK) is ramping up capacity to manufacture its antiviral drug, Relenza, and expects to produce 15 million doses in 2006, Pharmaceutical Operations President David Stout said Saturday.
Speaking to an audience at the World Economic Forum annual meeting, Stout said antiviral drugs like Relenza and Roche Holding AG's (RHHBY) Tamiflu may have some value in treating people infected by the H5N1 bird flu strain.
