youre right about food items.
bought some tomatoes in a pack, looked good, there were four of them. Cost $5.38. Didn't think much about it when buying but got home and did the maths, and suddenly realised....
THAT'S $1.34c FOR ONE FRIGGIN' TOMATO!!
if Woolies had a sign outside their shop which read: "We sell tomatoes for $1.34c each." no one would go in the shop.
the government are a bunch of lying hypocrites when it comes to honestly reporting food price increases, but then they lie about everything else - so why not about food?
I know from my record keeping that what cost me $30 to buy at Woolies 3 years ago now costs me approx $50 - and I ain't eating caviar.
