IT WAS bad news for Western Australia’s two biggest mineral exports overnight, with gold and iron ore losing more ground.
Iron ore fell to a fresh 21-month low of $US96.80 per tonne, a 1.3% drop from a day earlier.
Gold futures for August delivery slid to $1259.50 per ounce, the lowest price since early February.
