Wowog, ordinarily I would totally agree. And I staunchly defended the Alex McKinnon tackle.

I am looking at the tackle in a post Alex McKinnon/NRL crackdown on lifting world.

Do you honestly think his suspension is a) in line with pre-Mckinnon sentences OR b) in line with the NRL "crackdown" and harsher punishments of lifting in the tackle?

I will argue till the cows come home about how players get into awkward positions through momentum and that accidents happen in the heat of the moment. BUT, the NRL should not BS the public on their perceived crackdown.

If that is worthy of only a week or two in a post McKinnon crackdown world, then I am as confused as every other Queenslander.

PS. I don't give a rats if Reynold's plays and I am happy for him personally to play. And I don't think him playing or not really makes that much of a difference from a Qlder's perspective. But the NRL look foolish with this ruling and I am happy if that sets a precedent for every other tackle.
