I also predicted Abbott's rise to lead the Liberals but I did not expect him to become PM. Unfortunately for Australia the Labor party self-destructed and handed an election victory to Abbott.
Now the Liberal party has to deal with endless backflips and lies he told when in Opposition continuing as he attempts to govern. As well as the fact he is as bad as Gillard was at selling a policy.
I would be amazed if he was dumped this week but I will be surprised if he sees the year out as PM. I just hope he is silly enough to call an election when most of his budget is rejected in the Senate, but I think it's more likely he will roll over and be hugely compromised because well it's just another back-flip to him.
