If you look at where the datacenters are in relation to SubPartners fiber, I'm really hoping for an expansion into Asia or NZ at the far end of those cables. But if demand in Aus is strong they'll need to bolster up capacity to avoid the risk of running out of capacity, taking away their 'every major hub' advantage.
The way I see it, Slattery built the DCs then moved aggressively through SubPartners to build the fiber supporting them, naturally he would bolster his stake in NextDC now the the strategy is in motion for SubPartners.
