The area that CTP is operating in is culturally sensitive to the local Ananagu (Aboriginal people). That doesn't mean they don't support CTP. They certainly do. But it does mean that there will be lengthy discussions and delays before any particular site is drilled. The drilling will not go ahead without the Central Land Council signing off that the TOs agree to it, unlike the Top End traditionaL ownership in the desert of central Australia is not clear cut, many individuals, families and even language groups have intersecting ownership. Al this has to be worked out on the ground and it does take time.
