    Arg, I agree the MACD cross lags quite a bit, but I generally look at other indicators simultaneously, plus look for when the MACD and signal are heading towards a 'pinch'.

    What do you mean by the 'curve' of the MACD line? Perhaps whether the curve is heading up, down, or flat?

    What do you mean by where its placed on the sub chart? Perhaps above or below the zero line?

    Do you use a MACD momentum oscillator to accompany your MACD? If so, how do you 'read' it?

    I simply use the standard MACD values of 12, 26, and 9 for all stocks with the assumption that most traders probably do the same. That is, assuming that one trader reinforces another, etc. Plus this approach saves a lot of time compared to trying to customise indicator settings for each stock. Any comments on this approach?
