Note trading hrs on spi [aussie futures ]
Monday morn start at 9.50 am but as noted a week or so back they have an auction style process at 9.49.25/30 and first trade is at 9.50 and the session ends at 4.30 and then reopens at 5.10 through to 7 am .

Trades out of those hrs are done by spread betters . But I note x can be done if u read the pdf .

It used to be open out cry in Sydney many years ago then on the nightly sicko session called sycom . So they always had a break between sessions . They used to screw up the daylight savings changes as sycom was closed 1 hr earlier than USA closed . But all good now as syco closes 1 hr after usa markets close .

I note most markets have a settlement which is why it is important to understand the dax settlement which is not the end of the long session as after settlement dax futures trade along with SPX [ES] and dow [ym]and the dax market futures close at 6 am at the same time USA cash markets close and doesn't open till 4 pm where as dax cash markets open at 5 pm .
Unless there is another market on dax futures somewhere that I don't know about the dax is then closed from 6am - 4pm aussie time. I do note spread betters will offer a price out of hrs . Watch the pdf from earlier post from tonight as u will see settle price and then closing price at 6 am [ I don't know how it works but several minutes after dax closes there is often another price given which is often 2-4 points away from the 6 am price ,some form of late settle ? dunno.

    cheers g
