Never like to see a company raise money because they can. It's not like interest rates are high, so if they don't do anything with the money the only effect is a reduction in their return on funds invested.
I especially don't like it when small shareholders don't get a look in, and it cuts off what was a good rally in price.
Personally my belief is that if a CR is necessary, it should be law that existing shareholders get first dibs, and the rest released to sophisticated investors.
