A statement from our elected leader from one year ago today....

"Our policy is very clear - we will eliminate this type of third party appeal against planning decisions," Mr Brooks said.

"Neither Save the Tarkine nor any other Green front group would have the right to delay, frustrate and even kill off mining projects through bogging them down in tribunals.

"(Save the Tarkine frontman) Scott Jordan does not live next to the proposed Venture mines; he will not be affected in any way by their operations; why should he have the right to appeal?

"Our region is desperate for jobs."

Still waiting Mr Brooks....not seeing much action.
