Ok BSE has to pay $57 Tonne for exports valued at $1200 - $1500 per tonne and is threatening legal action, and demolishing its SP. Bear in mind that the Kenyan state awarded the Kwale concession on particularly favourable terms, in an effort to encourage mining activities. Base Resources will pay corporate taxes of 15% for 10 years, half the standard rate. Yes at a time when prices are historically low (but looking positive in the longer term) the $57 tax is unwelcome. But it is not so bad that BSE should have put out such a devastating Ann, and nor should the SP be as far down as it is.
