This stock is performing very well in my opinion and has risen quickly in recent times. What was the price 6 months ago? It is especially pleasing to see how the price has held up despite the recent gold falls.
Hopefully mlx continue to maintain a large cash balance. To do any deals for the sake of it would be madness. They are in an interesting position because further price falls in the gold price may open up more buying opportunities as other goldies fall by the wayside, yet obviously an increase in the gold price means better results at higginsville and South Kal etc.
Most gold producers are terrible buys (check out how many hundreds of millions Reed resources threw at Meekatharra before mlx got it for 10 mill...) but I think mlx will come out of the wash up as one of the best and it all comes down to management.
