However I dont ever remember seeing any announcements saying it was BOP related, I think we are all just speculating thats what requires maintenance, however from my time on drilling rigs it sounds about the right amount of time to work on a BOP...
The bolts on those things alone weigh in excess of 50 Kg's , everything is huge and requires cranes and winches to move around....
And IF it is BOP related, you DONT drill into a formation or suspected zone without one.
