GZ, when the Shah was around, the US and Iran were butt buddies…and Israel still managed to kick the cr@p out of the Arabs…hardly affected their relationship the US - in fact strengthened it. Perhaps, with some blossoming good-will between Iran and the West…we may see the crazies tossed out in another revolution (perhaps, just perhaps, slightly engineered)…and something more palatable installed. I heard nothing but good things about Iran pre-revolution….Everyone I knew who worked there loved the place.
And when push comes to shove…Israel can take care of itself and cook anyone in the region….
