    hi metal.

no worries. i thought you may have deleted your post via the edit button.

here is a bit of speculation.

ags will be taken over. there will not be an asset sale.

the asset for sale sign announcement is sort of genuine because if there was to be a buyer (other than general atomics) and a quick sale then the buyer would not want to take on the possible ags liabilities which would happen if they bought the whole of ags. and they wouldn't need to do that part of the due diligence.

the reason why general atomics may not want to buy the asset as opposed to taking over alliance is that it is a lot easier for general atomics to just takeover the whole of ags.

maybe there are mountains of procedures for transferring licenses or obtaining new licenses where there is an acquisition of an asset (or even part of an asset) as opposed to just taking over ags.

yes i know i have made a few assumptions here. i maybe off the mark because i don't really know much about anything and i don't know much about the issues relating to the differences between asset sales/buys and public company takeovers. but we do know that company takeovers seem to happen quite frequently and it seems no big deal.

this has a bit on interesting info and sort of where i got my ideas from:
