The prospectus is now out for a float of "hot rocks". This may explain why the place has been quiet. Apparently the first trial was a success. The water is actually heated to a couple of hundred degrees without boiling so any nasties stay in the ground. They claim it takes 30 years to cool, then another 20 to reheat, so, by rotation in a heat field of several installations, the cumulative flow can be made constant, unlike windmills. Also, by not boiling the water, it is claimed that the pipes fur up much more slowly.
It sounds like an alternative for the ethical shareholders wishing to avoid U, though much of the heat may be the result of radioactive decay.
