I am currently managing exploration in the United States for Total. We are currently exploring the deep water sub salt in the GOM and unconventional resource plays onshore. I have worked for four major oil companies in 30+ year career. My passion is finding oil and gas. I have had the privelege of exploring in many of the major petroeum basins of the world. I spent the first twenty years of my career doing hands on exploration and the last decade managing exploration & asset teams. This experience now allows me to evaluate opportunities with a more insightful and creative perspective. I have been very lucky in that I have found oil in several different basins for the companies I have worked with. I am old school and I believe very strongly in the adage that "the harder you work the luckier you become". Quite often we geoscientist loose sight of the fact that we are given a unique opportunity in life, in that as adults we get to look for treasure!
