[Jan 2012] EU Market Opportunity Report
The Delta Energy & Environment EU Market Opportunity Report for domestic Fuel Cells, highlights key EU regions for deployment of Fuel Cell based appliances based on (i) Technical market opportunity (the number of buildings with natural gas individual heating systems with space for the appliance) and (ii) Economic market potential based on energy and heating market barriers, regional policy and regulation. Fuel Cell favourable EU regions identified in the report are German, UK, Italy, Netherlands and France.

Ideal Heating completes the configuration of multi-purposed test rig environment at their offices at Hull for testing fuel cell systems prototypes.

Deployment of BlueGen Pathfinder systems within the UK and Germany is well underway, extensive monitoring on each system is provide a large data set to be analysed by E.ON New Build & Technologies Monitoring Team.
[Jan 2013] Integrated Fuel Cell Appliance Specification Design Sign-off
Taking insights from the BlueGen Pathfinder field trial, test rigs and information from the Market Opportunity Report and extensive knowledge transfer between Ideal Boilers and Ceramic Fuel Cell a design specification of an integrated fuel cell appliance has been agreed by the consortium.
[Jan 2013] BlueGen Cost Down Achieved
Ceramic Fuel Cells achieve 25% component reduction and cost down for BlueGen components (relative to 2012 project start) for use within the integrated fuel cell appliance through targeted value engineering and supply chain development.
[Mar 2014] Integrated Fuel Cell Appliances field trial units build completes
Ideal completes the build process for the SOFT-PACT Integrated Fuel Cell (S.I.F.C) Appliances ready for the field trials in UK, Germany and Netherlands. Ideal also celebrated the receiving of the CE certificate for the Appliance in mid February 2014
[June 2014] Integrated Fuel Cell Appliances Field Trial Deployment Nears Completion
SOFT-PACT’s Integrated Fuel Cell (S.I.F.C) Appliances have now all been fully deployed in Germany with the assistance of Lindorfer GmbH. The majority of the appliances for the UK have also been deployed with the assistance of Forrest.
