Not true pa28. The blame is squarely on the Feds who dictate the number of training position and tertiary positions. Without med students and Registrars (specialty training), you have a doctors shortage. Feds dictate (read control) both of these. This is also finanial control re the relesse of provider numbers (writing scripts!) so they stop referrals and phamacy growth.
The sooner the Feds take control of the State hospitals the better. Then they can't pass the buck anymore and they will be forced to get it right.
