To fellow OBJ ers
Presentation was pretty much as we have seen before. A few things were explained which helped me so I will repost those things here.
/ They have no intention of increasing their board of 3.
/ The clinical trial with P & G (PG)was the best results ever for a PG trial.
/ each micro array is different for each molecule. So each application is therefore different.
/multiple deal with PG across 7-8 products was PG idea, not OBJ
/NBG "want" to use OBJ tech across multiple products
/ first product close, but we won't know we have tech in it as that will not be known directly.
/product 2 and 3 are not very far behind.
product 4,5,6 are probable, 7, possible and 8...not so convinced at this time.
/a repeat of the 100millper product for each product they consider worthy, and industry norms of 1-5 % royalty reiterated.
/potentially many many more
/ moisture strip on Gillette razor of interest
/ OBJ was required to get the tech patented before negotiations could proceed.
/ GSK still awaiting ethics approval, no timeline possible. The reason why they have gone down the non medical pathway for most things
/royalties based on end wholesale product
/ bodyguard will be aimed at the younger initially.
/COTY same space as PG but the powered device will be used by them, very positive about the stand alone device which is useable across several products and the switching is built in fr the various applications. Interesting. Have got as far as consumer testing planning and thus will be later in 2014. (I read Nov or later.)
/ Bodyguard: new category, repairs cartilage. global plan. Pushes the lubricensthru skin into joint with 14% pain improvement in 2 weeks, others mange 5% so considered fantastic. Manufactured in US and Melb and testing at vict or qld inst sport.
cost od manufacture of a knee patch for social sport 22c, but will sell for more like $3.
/ roadshow NOT about a cap raise, stated without asking
/ directors fees same as 2003 so on market selling was to play catch up with income, that's all. Still hold original shares( heaps, tens of millions)
/ current market cap possibly just values PG deal , no blue sky or other deals, body guard may well be the sleeper, and under their control
/ virtual patch is powered, so device and gel /cream are all part of how it works
/NBG is the group that are responsible for taking first product to market.
/NBG working on a launch schedule
/NBG tasked with finding 200-500m products
New category... musculoskeletal pain non regulated solution
Company cannot be gone around and tech parked as too many different applications
NBG partially a response to AGM where chair attacked a while back
OBJ have reduced NBG time frames from 3 yrs to 1 year. very impressive.
/ Skin whitening in asia huge, new category for PG
/ planning roadshows every few months now that a major has signed. Useless prev.
overall impression After years of struggling with the majors they are now quietly confident about the runs they have on the board. say a score of 23, heading for a century before being dropped on the boundary. after that anyone's guess.
