Vistica, I acknowledge your xenophobic concerns! The proper interception and processing of asylum seekers is indeed important and I value highly the work of our naval personnel charged with that responsibility.

As to your allegations about asylum seekers destroying their documentation, Tony Abbott's censorship of information relating to asylum seekers means that, as with WW1 and WW2, we are being fed government propaganda. Abbott has the power to end that by giving journalists about 10% of the opportunity he's trying to give to media shock jocks found guilty of racial vilification.

I've no doubts that some asylum seekers don't have any documentation and that some destroyed what they have, but that is not justification for returning them to a nation facing UN action over allegations of war crimes and genocide against its own people. They have international human rights that Abbott and Co should respect.
