Within the next 2-3 years I intend terminating the SMSF my wife and I have that produces us an Allocated Pension and part Centrelink Pension.
When I terminate the SMSF it will be around $400-$500K.
The reason for this is that it appears there is no advantage maintaining the SMSF and by putting the SMSF in our own names in shares/cash etc. it is easier and cheaper to Administer and the is no downside to obtaining the Part Centrelink Pension.
I have run the numbers through the MLC online Aged Pension Calculator and the outcome is the same whichever way you go.
Have I missed anything ?
Any comments please.
