Even though Tony Abbott has been known to do some pretty breath-taking policy backflips, I think you're abbottsolutely correct in pointing out that he's checkmated himself on better addressing global warming.
At NO stage has Abbott demonstrated any understanding of the science; indeed he's knee-capped the CSIRO and is doing his level best to terminate public authorities established to make a positive difference.
