In fairness Steve this is pretty normal for subscription services that provide a free trial, whether that be movies, software, music etc etc. I was charged but when I called them they immediately reversed the charge and cancelled my subscription. It was peculiar though to receive an email later threatening me that I will have to pay if I didn't return a DVD they sent me that I never asked for.
