looking at historical data, stocks that generally hold up well in mass sell off days like today, tend to gain wings over the following days - and looking at the fundamentals of PNO (which i believe are very strong) a sharp rise is not out of question, irrespective of the merger announcement.
Astute investors will also look to get in on PNO in prior to this announcement, as by all reports it should be significant.
I might look to offload a few following this rise, then jump back in following the predicatble slight retrecment that generally just follows.
