Folks lets be clear the underlying and founding principal behind the STT threads is this:-
1. Many eyes can cover more ground than one set of eyes ... Its just a time thing..lets all benefit.
2. The elimination of as much investing/trading I'm the best "CRAP" as possible... I guess one key motivation was the experience I had with "so called expert" Fund managers telling me where to invest my hard earned and creaming off 2% commission regardless of performance (even during the GFC) ... Lets be clear almost all fund managers know less than you do. My Bal has sky rocketed since I gave them the flick 20 or so yrs ago.
3. I assisted in the creation the STT competition (Mushashi you there ) 2 yrs ago for a few reason these were
a) To find out once an for all on a level playing field (Without the hyperbol and ramp ) who are the best stock tippers on HC... all BS aside
b) To make sure that those that are Top pickers get the credit they deserve... Which is being achieved on a week by week basis ...there are some legends on the STT
4) Ensure that all readers can attain the same profits as those shown in the leader-boards each week... Its possible to run with the winners ....
Note: Do I recommend buying all tips made on the STT Thread ??... hell no!!! ...you could go broke... no you still need to do your own research... Find a tipster you like and research their tips their Nth degree. If you blindly follow someone you are setting yourself up for failure...
I guess the main benefit of the STT threads is the ability to "narrow" your research radar to the areas that matter...making the most efficient use of your research time.
Note - 2: I actively discourage DT Tips here .. I (and I assume others ) don't want a Stock that rises 100% and fall 100% 1 a day ... better to have a stock like TON .. Solid fundamentals that have risen 700% plus over several weeks and the promise much more in the months ahead (IE Tons closest peer is SYR 27 bag over 2 years)
