Ours, was touted at the time as the largest class action in Australian history - $750 odd million as I recall. Since then it has seemly been watered down to what??? $147 mil and 2000 participants and a reported settlement offer of $20 mil +???
If this turns out to be the case, by the time the litigation funder has taken his agreed share and costs out the returns to Investors seem hardly to have been worth the effort.{The maths is simple - peanuts for those at the end of the food chain!}
Unless of course those efforts result in individuals that got us into this mess are belatedly taken to task and land up in jail.
I am not holding my breath for that eventuality, Senate enquiry recommendations & ASIC posturing notwithstanding.
